ANIMATION AND IMAGINATION

GREEN BAY, WI, April 13, 2006 — What do Deanna Favre and The Second City comedy troupe have in common? Both were featured in Telly award-winning commercials created by Arketype, Inc.

Arketype, a Green Bay advertising and design firm, received two Bronze Telly awards in this year’s 27th annual international competition. The Bronze statuettes represent second-place recognition and are designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar® and the Emmy®.

A 30-second public service announcement for Friends of the Brown County Library received a Bronze Telly for Best Use of Animation. The commercial features Deanna Favre surrounded by fanciful animation and the beauty of the historic Meyer Theatre in a promotion for the library’s Give-a-Kid-a-Book campaign.

A second Bronze Telly was awarded to Arketype’s 15-second publicity spot for the stage production of Sex and The Second City. The inventive commercial leaves everything to viewers’ imagination. It was initially created to promote the 2005 fall performance at the Weidner Center for Performing Arts. Arketype’s work has since been contracted by The Second City for use in the show's national promotional campaign.

Since 1978, the Telly Awards have honored outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The annual competition receives over 12,000 entries annually, and showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

Arketype, Inc., delivers strategic marketing advantages to leaders of consumer and business-to-business brands, creating impossible-to-ignore design and advertising solutions. The national award-winning firm, established in 1992 and based in Green Bay, provides clients with diverse capabilities, from annual report design and integrated ad campaigns, to Website development, multimedia production, and original textile design. Arketype is the brainchild of co-principals Paul Meinke and Jim Rivett.
