ARKETYPE EARNS FIVE AURORA AWARDS INCLUDING TWO PLATINUM BEST OF SHOW
GREEN BAY, WI, May 15, 2006 A 30-minute documentary produced for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and a 2-minute self-promo reel captured highest honors for local company Arketype in the 2005 Aurora Awards. Both works garnered Platinum Best of Show awards in the international film and video competition, which recognizes the best in commercials, cable programming, documentaries, industrial, instructional, and corporate videos.
The Green Bay advertising and design firm also received three Gold Aurora Awards. Arketype’s documentary for the Department of Corrections is entitled, “New Beginnings: A Roadmap to Prison Life and Beyond.” It gives families, friends, and the general public an understanding of how Wisconsin prisons guide offenders in choosing new directions for their lives. The program highlights inmates’ experiences once they enter the Department of Corrections, and offers ways they can prepare themselves to become productive members of their communities upon release. It also illustrates the importance of continued contact from family and friends throughout an inmate’s imprisonment and reintegration into the community.
Among the Arketype work to receive Gold Awards are:
- A 2-minute product-launch video for the Bemis Manufacturing Company announcing the Purité Personal Cleansing Spa.
- A 30-second TV ad featuring the Parsons Dance Company to advertise its October 2005 Weidner Center performance.
- A 3-minute corporate video produced pro-bono for the Brown County United Way’s 2005 annual gift-giving campaign.
Aurora Award entries come from private and corporate production groups, advertising agencies, and television stations worldwide. More information is available at www.auroraawards.com.
