Sam & Ruby May 2nd Performance at Meyer Theatre Promoted by Local Ad Firm Arketype
GREEN BAY, WI, April 28, 2008 On Friday, May 2, at 8 p.m., Green Bay native Sam Brooker will perform with Ruby Amanfu at the Meyer Theatre. Arketype, an award-winning advertising and design firm in Green Bay booked the event, coordinated all the details, and has been promoting this week's concert for the past several weeks.
The initiative may seem an odd one for an ad agency, but Arketype President Jim Rivett explains his company's involvement.
"Sam and Ruby wrote and recorded an original song for our documentary, Westbound, now in post-production about the late Adolph Vandertie, Grand Duke of the Hobos," said Rivett. "They're extremely gifted performers and getting them a venue with local audiences seemed like a logical way to return the favor."
Musical soul mates and kindred spirits, Sam & Ruby award audiences with songs of life, love, loss, understanding, forgiveness and hope. To experience their sound and get insights into their talents, visit www.myspace.com/samandruby.
Tickets for the May 2 performance at the Meyer Theatre are only $15. To order, visit www.meyertheatre.org, www.ticketstaronline.com, or call 800-895-0071.
